The conversion rests on two assumptions you can adjust: how many hours you work per week and how many weeks per year. The standard full-time basis is 40 hours a week over 52 weeks — about 2,080 paid hours a year. Change those numbers and every other figure updates: a part-time schedule or unpaid holidays lower the annual total even at the same hourly rate.
